Re: Budweiser Superbowl Commercial

The very best thing about this commercial is that jab about pumpkin peach ale. AB InBev's most recent acquisition, Elysian Brewing, brewed Gourdgia on my Mind Pecan Peach Pumpkin Amber for a Great Pumpkin Beer festival last year.

Re: Pin-ups and "sexy" women on beer labels

Heh, "libertine flapper girl"? If you do a quick "define libertine" search on Google, this is the first definition that pops up: 1. a person, especially a man, who behaves without moral principles or a sense of responsibility, especially in sexual matters. Might not have been the best adjective to u...

Re: Pin-ups and "sexy" women on beer labels

All of the above aside though, my biggest issue is that Nickel Brook is explicitly ignoring its female customers when it decides to make a label like this. I don't think they are purposely trying to alienate women, but I do think it shows that they are not considering us. The label tells me "Melani...

What are you drinking right now?

I always love these type of posts, as I am a nosey person by nature. Right now I am drinking a can of Headstock from Nickel Brook. It's a great IPA now made even better with a slick new can. Loads of simcoe, amarillo, equinox, and mosaic hops. I think NFLD has only seen NB's gluten free and ap...

Re: Quidi Vidi Brewhaha

Goodness, that is discouraging. Can't really comment anything much other than that aside from how much of a tool that guy sounded like when he said a blue bottle was too 'feminine'. What the hell does that mean even? Thankfully he didn't give the Iceberg Lager some awful name and marketing to off-s...

Re: 2014 Advent Calendar Daily Contents Thread

That first sip of a sour beer... It really changed the beer game for me... That sounds kind of dramatic, but it changed my definition of what "beer" could be... Hoping this is a good one! Gosh, that happened to me too! More precisely, my first sip of Cantillon Vigneronne. It just rocked everything ...
